Sasha Nathwani

End of the Line, 2018

Price range: £650.00 through £995.00 £

Sasha Nathwani’s “End of the Line” (2018) brings together two cinematic frames. One draws us close to a solitary man sitting on a line, while the other pulls back to reveal the wider landscape and the sun rising on the horizon.

The change in perspective transforms the narrative. What initially feels like a moment of isolation becomes one of possibility, as the sunrise suggests a new beginning. Drawing on Nathwani’s filmmaking background, the work invites us to imagine the story beyond the frame.

Presented as part of The Art of Conversation at The Chancery Rosewood, Mayfair, End of the Line belongs to the exhibition’s Between Leaving and Staying conversation, exploring the uncertainty and hope that accompany moments of transition.

An exploration of perspective, possibility and the space between endings and beginnings.

Exhibition Insight
Inspired by the chance encounters and exchanges that take place within great hospitality spaces, The Art of Conversation brings together twelve contemporary artists and asks what can happen when works with different histories, personalities and visual languages meet.

Like the people who cross paths within a hotel, each artwork arrives with its own history, character and perspective. It is what happens when they meet that becomes the exhibition.

We arrive as ourselves but can leave seeing something differently.
