Danny Chan

Stay For Something, 2025

Price range: £545.00 through £795.00 £

Danny Chan’s “Stay for Something” (2025), turns towards stillness. As the sun fades, the moon rises above Seoul’s skyline, transforming the city into something both familiar and dreamlike.

Through his instinctive approach to reportage photography, Chan captures a fleeting moment of quiet beauty within the movement of urban life. The city pauses, inviting us to look again at a place we might otherwise take for granted.

Presented as part of The Art of Conversation at The Chancery Rosewood, Mayfair, Stay for Something forms part of the exhibition’s Between Leaving and Staying conversation. Where Into the Wild captures the anticipation of departure, this work offers a reason to remain, reminding us that sometimes it is the simplest moments that connect us most deeply to a place.

An exploration of stillness, belonging and the moments that make us want to stay.

Exhibition Insight
Inspired by the chance encounters and exchanges that take place within great hospitality spaces, The Art of Conversation brings together twelve contemporary artists and asks what can happen when works with different histories, personalities and visual languages meet.

Like the people who cross paths within a hotel, each artwork arrives with its own history, character and perspective. It is what happens when they meet that becomes the exhibition.

We arrive as ourselves but can leave seeing something differently.
