Ki Price is a London-based portrait photographer whose work spans more than three decades across music, fashion, documentary and editorial photography. Renowned for his distinctive use of light and his ability to build trust with his subjects, his work has taken him from photographing presidents, royalty and cultural icons to documenting grassroots communities, activists and social movements.
Although he had photographed Vivienne Westwood’s runway shows for many years, Price began working closely with her in 2014 after being invited by Vivienne and her son, Joe Corré, to document their environmental and anti-fracking campaigns across the UK. Over the following years, until Vivienne’s death in 2022, he became one of her most trusted photographers, creating what is widely regarded as one of the most extensive photographic archives of her activism and campaigning work.
His photographs reveal a side of Westwood rarely seen by the public: the activist, environmental campaigner and political agitator. From demonstrations and direct-action campaigns to intimate behind-the-scenes moments, the work provides a unique visual record of one of Britain’s most influential cultural figures and her commitment to social and environmental change. This body of work has been exhibited internationally, including Punk & Glamour at Millesgården Museum, Stockholm (2020), Museo Milavida, Tampere, Finland (2021), Westwood | Kawakubo at the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, and at the Vivienne Foundation’s Soho headquarters in London. His photographs have also appeared in numerous publications dedicated to Vivienne Westwood, including the Christie’s Vivienne Westwood: Another Life catalogue, the Westwood | Kawakubo exhibition publication, and Vivienne Westwood’s published diaries.
Alongside his exhibition work, Price’s photography regularly appears in leading international publications including Vanity Fair, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Time and The Sunday Times, alongside numerous other magazines and newspapers worldwide. His work continues to be exhibited internationally and is held in private and institutional collections.
