Diego Tirigall’s “Cryptic Laser Eyes” (2022), draws on the raw energy of street art and Neo-Expressionism, combining bold colour, fragmented imagery and expressive mark-making to create a work that is both playful and provocative.

Beyond its irreverence, the work invites us to question the world we are moving into. Cryptocurrency, digital identities and the extraordinary pace of technological change are reshaping how we live, communicate and understand value. Tirigall’s chaotic visual language seems to capture both the excitement and unease of hurtling towards a future we can barely begin to imagine.

Presented as part of The Art of Conversation at The Chancery Rosewood, Mayfair, Cryptic Laser Eyes contributes to the exhibition’s Freedom to Be conversation, while also looking towards an increasingly unpredictable future. Its energy and uncertainty offer a striking contrast to the uninhibited freedom captured in the exhibition’s earlier photographic works.

Exhibition Insight
Inspired by the chance encounters and exchanges that take place within great hospitality spaces, The Art of Conversation brings together twelve contemporary artists and asks what can happen when works with different histories, personalities and visual languages meet.

Like the people who cross paths within a hotel, each artwork arrives with its own history, character and perspective. It is what happens when they meet that becomes the exhibition.

We arrive as ourselves but can leave seeing something differently.

Yes, we offer two layers of verification. a certificate of authenticity, and a special insert letter from the artist with the artwork pictured and described, formally transferring that particular edition to the collector. If the artwork purchased is one of an edition, the piece’s unique edition number will be displayed. Certificates of authenticity are very important to retain should you wish to re-sell the artwork in the future.
