Mr Will Stewart

Life!, 2024

Price range: £395.00 through £695.00 £

Will Stewart’s “Life!” (2024),  takes one of the most familiar words in our vocabulary and transforms it into something instantly expressive. The brilliance lies in its simplicity. We all recognise the word, yet what it means to each of us is entirely personal. It can express joy, frustration, excitement or uncertainty, sometimes all at once.

Presented as part of The Art of Conversation at The Chancery Rosewood, Mayfair, Life acts as a bridge between the exhibition’s celebration of the uninhibited freedom of the past and our growing concern for the future. A single, familiar word becomes a reflection on everything we have experienced, and everything still to come.

A single word. Something we all recognise and feel.

Exhibition Insight
Inspired by the chance encounters and exchanges that take place within great hospitality spaces, The Art of Conversation brings together twelve contemporary artists and asks what can happen when works with different histories, personalities and visual languages meet.

Like the people who cross paths within a hotel, each artwork arrives with its own history, character and perspective. It is what happens when they meet that becomes the exhibition.

We arrive as ourselves but can leave seeing something differently.
