Digital Signatures & Provenance
Every STYLL edition features a digital artist signature—not a corner-cutting shortcut, but a durability-boosting evolution.
Digital signatures are increasingly valued in the art world because they offer long-lasting clarity and durability that traditional wet signatures can’t always guarantee. They don’t fade, smudge, or degrade over time, ensuring the artist’s mark stays exactly as intended.
By removing the need for physical signing, they also reduce the carbon footprint associated with shipping artworks back and forth, making global distribution smoother and faster.
Since the artist provides an exact digitisation of their own signature—and controls its scale, placement, and presentation—the authenticity of the work is preserved with precision. This process is further reinforced by two layers of verification from STYLL:
- a certificate of authenticity, displaying the unique edition number
- a special insert letter from the artist with the artwork pictured and described, formally transferring that particular edition to you.
Certificates of authenticity are very important to retain should you wish to re-sell the artwork in the future. If the piece is shipped direct to you, your certificate will be packed with the artwork
Together, these measures give collectors confidence in both provenance and quality.
Collectors love the clarity. Artists love the control. The planet loves the reduced carbon footprint. Everybody wins.
