My approach to the subject matter is intuitive. Photography anchors the image in a form of reality; the digital process explores its emotional resonance. The layering of textures and use of colour creates the sense of a world one step away, but parallel to our own. Before the internet even existed, Damian Rimmer was fascinated by computers—not just as tools, but as an art form. His work taps into something deep and powerful, taking the raw, forgotten parts of our modern world and turning them into striking, emotional art. And, by contrast his depiction of the natural world fuses organic decay with digital precision, capturing primal forms through a hyper-modern lens.
